The Roadside Memorials of Rt. 85

Jebus and Friends

I've seen my share of roadside memorials and they usually consist of a cross or two and some flowers. Not along AZ Rte. 85 - No way, now how! They are not messing around.

On the outskirts of Ajo, AZ

Outstanding!

Underachiever

Good floor plan, but needs some work

Simple, elegant

Simpler, still elegant

Compact, but nicely done

A whole lot going on here.

I think this might be my favorite of all your blog posts. Excellent survey.

You could turn this theme into a nice coffeetable book. Git on it!

Aud - I kept passing these things and saying to myself, "Damn, I really should take some pictures of these things."

So, the entire return trip was devoted to taking these pics. There were just as many that I didn't take pics of.

I like your coffetable book idea.

I agree, pleased you stopped and took a few pictures, nice to see the effort people put in, for loved ones, simple but effective memorials.

Why are so many people dying out there?

I bet they blamed the black guy for killing Jesus in the 1st picture.

Why are people posting anonymously and then signing their names?

I did it because Renee did it and she's my hero. Nancy
